Privacy Notice for California Job Applicants

1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect

We collect this information directly from you (for example, your resume or CV and application form), and in some cases from recruiters, referral sources, or professional profiles you choose to share with us:

• Identifiers (for example, name, mailing address, email address, phone number).
• Professional or employment-related information (for example, resume or CV and cover letter contents, work history, and the area of interest selected on our application form).
• Education information (for example, schools attended, degrees, and professional certifications or licenses such as RN or LVN).
• Sensitive personal information (for example, government-issued ID or Social Security number). We do not request this on our general resume-submission form; it is typically only required later in the hiring process, such as for a background check. If it happens to appear in a resume or cover letter, we treat it as sensitive personal information and restrict access accordingly.

We do not collect precise geolocation, biometric, or financial account information through our careers page.

2. How We Use and Disclose Personal Information

We use this information to evaluate your qualifications and interest, communicate with you, maintain applicant records for potential future openings, comply with recordkeeping obligations, and improve our hiring process.

We do not sell or share (as those terms are defined under the CCPA) job applicants' personal information. We may disclose it to service providers who support our applicant tracking or recruiting systems, background check providers (later in the hiring process, if applicable), and government agencies where required by law.

3. Retention

We retain applicant personal information, including resumes and application materials, for a minimum of four (4) years from the date of submission (or, if hired, for the duration of employment plus four years), consistent with California recordkeeping requirements under California Government Code Section 12946. We may retain information longer where necessary to resolve a dispute, complaint, or legal proceeding.

4. Your Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, request deletion or correction of it, and limit use of sensitive personal information, subject to certain exceptions. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share applicant personal information, so the right to opt out of sale or sharing does not currently apply.

We may need to verify your identity before processing a request, and you may designate an authorized agent to submit one on your behalf.
